Australian Parents for Climate Action is powered by parents, grandparents and those who care about a safe climate for our kids - we need your support to scale up our impact. Read on to find out how…
We are delivering a new wave of public pressure to secure climate action from all levels of government. Everything we do is enabled by 100+ volunteers and 17,000+ supporters, and minimal, but essential costs associated with running a charitable organisation, equipping volunteers with systems and resources, and coordinating national campaigns.
As the climate crisis worsens, we are bringing solutions to the table in electorates in every state and territory. But we lack the resources needed to support our national network to organise and grow its impact. That’s where the #4TheLoveOfOurKids Appeal comes in. We urgently need to raise $30,000 by 31st December to sustain and grow our work this financial year. We are inviting members of our community to step up as Climate Champions and together raise much needed funds.
We’ve made a strong start by raising over $2,000 in the first 10 days of the Appeal, but we’ve got a long way to go to reach our target. That’s where you can help! You can support parent-led climate action by signing up as a Climate Champion or chipping in to get us closer to our target.
One of our first Climate Champions to sign up was Leanne from regional Queensland. Leanne has seen first hand the evolution of Australian Parents for Climate Action. From an idea a small group of Mums had back in 2019 to becoming Australia's leading advocacy group for parents, grandparents and all who care about a safe climate for our kids. Leanne knows that in order to scale up our impact we need the funds to grow and empower more parents and grandparents.
“I never dreamed…that we would be this fantastic organisation in just a few years. The catch is, it requires money to keep up the good work, to grow and to become even more effective. So I hope you can help. Donations large and small will be put to good use.”
Amy in Canberra, has signed up as a Climate Champion to help raise money for Australian Parents for Climate Action:
"The littlest constituents have the least power and the most to lose from the choices being made right now.... As parents, we don’t have a choice to give up, our little ones will be asking us what we did to protect them, to protect the earth; they will want to know why we didn’t do more, and sooner...Australian Parents for Climate Action is a collective of people that care deeply about the children in their lives and want them to enjoy a safe and happy future. Something worth investing in, something #4TheLoveOfOurKids."
We have a plan to educate and empower a million families in strategic locations to deliver strong public pressure on our politicians, engage communities, and leverage the media.
We have the potential to catalyse a national movement of action, led by volunteers, backed by essential support. Now we need to raise enough funds to meet our target and cover our costs this financial year.
Will you step up as a Climate Champion like Leanne and Amy or chip in to help us reach our fundraising target of $30,000 before 31st December 2022?
Every dollar we receive supports the next parent, grandparent, or family member to become a climate advocate for the first time. We support parents to engage their entire communities on climate solutions. We support parents to reach thousands more with their climate story in the media. We support parents to persuade their political representatives, on all sides of politics, to secure a safe climate for all children.
Because we know that parents, empowered to change the world for their kids, are an unstoppable force for good.

Parents for Climate meet and work on the lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
