Let's get clean energy for every school and childcare in the country!

Solar and batteries on schools and early childhood centres is a 'no brainer'. So why hasn’t it happened yet?

Schools and childcare need to focus on kids and educators. They don’t have time or money to do this alone. But when school and childcares get expert solar and battery advice, and ready funding, solar and batteries get installed, and the savings roll in.

Parents make it easy for schools and childcares when we call on our governments to provide the money and information for solar and batteries.

Together, parents are bridging the gap between our schools and our government representatives who can deliver solar and battery programs that work.

Dear Federal, State and Territory leaders,

We call on all governments to work together to Solar Our Learning, by funding solar and batteries for every school and early childhood centre in Australia (with means-tested grants for privately-owned schools and for-profit early learning centres).

Why every school and early learning centre needs solar and batteries

More money for learning

Schools can save on energy bills and have more money for the things our kids need to learn. Solar and batteries pay for themselves.

Safer schools

Solar and batteries help keep our kids learning. They give schools affordable winter heating and summer cooling. Batteries can keep the power on when there’s a blackout so kids can stay in school.

Power for the community

Batteries on schools mean cheaper, clean solar energy can be used by the rest of the community in the evenings, on the weekend and in school holidays. And our schools anchor our communities. They are polling places, community halls, sports facilities and safe havens during natural disasters. Solar and batteries make our schools work better for everyone.
