Mum of 2, Hannah is one of our dedicated local action group leaders. Hannah also recently celebrated a special birthday. When we announced the #4TheLoveOfOurKids Appeal Hannah knew immediately what she wanted for her birthday - donations in support of climate action.
I know the dire consequences of inaction for my kids and the world I know and love and I also know how powerful it is when people speak up and take action for a better world. Supporting Australian Parents for Climate Action helps support parents to speak up for the future of our kids and all the things we love. I know how valuable this organisation has been to me and so many inspirational parents around Australia.
Thanks to Hannah generously sharing her birthday with us and reaching out to the people close to her Hannah quickly became our lead fundraiser. Hannah shared with her friends and family -
Australian Parents for Climate Action is a community of parents all around Australia calling for more action on climate to protect our kids future and the future of our planet. This organisation has empowered and inspired me to speak up and continuously reassured me that I am doing the right thing, while also being so very understanding and supportive of being a mum.The money I raise will go towards our local North Tasmania local action group first and foremost (think supplies for events, room booking fees, if we ever should need them) but also support the strategic direction of parent action across Australia, also boring but such important things like a Zoom account and Public Liability insurance!
And donating is CLIMATE ACTION. You are empowering parents to do what you may not be able to.
