Planning together is one of the most powerful ways for a local group to maximise effectiveness and become more than the sum of their parts.
Unfortunately when we're volunteers working on a big issue like climate change, it's easy to come away from a planning session with
- an overwhelming timeline
- too few people doing too much of the work
- a disconnect between activities and longer-term group goals
This 90 minute workshop will cover simple processes to avoid these traps, and to develop plans that feel energising, exciting and manageable.
You'll come away with a simple process your group can run to develop a clear timeline of activities that
- is manageable, with room to add more later if necessary
- makes the most of members' passions
- spreads the work
- has a healthy mix of simple, repeatable events and big, special ones
- builds progress towards your longer-term goals
- takes advantage of national moments and priorities where appropriate
And we'll provide templates and support for you to take this process back to your group.
NB: This workshop will only go ahead with a minimum of 3 participants and is open to all group leaders and core group volunteers.
