As election fever heats up, join ALEC, CAFFA and Parents for Climate to hear local candidates visions for the environment and to hear what the key environmental issues are for Central Australia this election! Speeches and Q & A followed by a picnic with activities for kids.
Join us to learn where candidates stand on the key environmental issues for Central Australia this election. This is a key opportunity to demonstrate that the environment matters to the voters of Central Australia this election campaign. It is also a chance to find out which candidates you align with and to push for stronger environmental action from our next federal government.
The event will format will be:
- a quick intro by Arid Lands Environment Centre
- short speeches from candidates: Labor candidate Marion Scrymgour, Greens candidate Aia Newport, independent candidate Que Kenny and Indigenous Party of Australia Candidate Chris Tomlins
- Audience questions to candidate
- Finishing off with a picnic and time for casual chats
