Die-In at Parliament House

See Facebook Site: https://www.facebook.com/events/916262523343326

Join us in expressing our grief and alarm about the recent decision by Natasha Fyles and her government to open up the Territory to fracking.

At 10:30am on Tuesday 16th May, while parliament is sitting, we will stage a die-in outside parliament house. We will symbolise the death, destruction and devastation that will come as a result of this reckless decision.

Come and be a part of this evocative and powerful moment in which will send a message to the NT government that their decision is not representative and is not safe for our kids.

You are welcome to come and participate however you feel comfortable. You can come to participate in the die-in, or you can come to hold a sign, or you can simply come to watch. As long as your presence is peaceful and respectful, you are welcome.

If you can, bring a white sheet to cover yourself with while you lie down. Look at the pictures below to get a sense of the effect we are aiming for. Please bring drinking water as you will be lying in the sun.

Please note that this protest is a peaceful and lawful demonstration of our opposition to fracking in the NT
