Yes2Renewables FREE Training - How to Combat Misinformation

Come Join us with YES2RENEWABLES for a free training session on How to Combat Misinformation.

We are having a pot luck share dinner, please bring something to share and your own bowl and cuttlery.

Renewable energy is a hot topic, with plenty of conflicting and confusing information making the rounds in communities. Come along to this accessible community training and learn how to respond to misinformation about renewable energy and have conversations that bring us closer to a renewable energy future.

Yes2Renewables works with community groups and individuals around the country to engage with the renewable energy transition and advocate for positive outcomes in their communities. We have recently launched the Y2R Toolkit, informed by research, interviews and learnings from over a decade of successful campaigning, designed to help grassroots organisers to enhance and empower their pro-renewables campaigns.

This training is for anyone interested in combatting and inoculating against mis- and dis-information in their region - a core chapter in the toolkit - and building the organising power we need to make a fair and just transition to renewables successful. Come along to join with others in your community and build the power to tackle misinformation head on.

Presenters:

She supports local groups to build place based organising power, push back on mis- and dis-information, and develop pro-renewables campaigns for a fair and just transition to renewable energy. Coco recently co-authored the Y2R Toolkit: for communities and organisers to create a better energy future.

Anna Mackiewicz is the NSW Organiser with Yes2Renewables, with a background in community organising, campaigning and direct action. She works with people across NSW to advocate for a renewable energy transition that delivers tangible and long-lasting outcomes for communities, workers and nature.
