Sustainability is now part of the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF V2) and a multi-dimensional approach is promoted for early childhood services. The challenge is for all educators to upskill about the possibilities for engaging children in learning about creating their sustainable futures.
In this interactive webinar, we explore the topics of energy conservation and renewable energy through key concepts, pedagogies, play experiences and resources. In addition, practitioner case studies will be shared to illustrate what is possible in early childhood services. This Parents for Climate webinar showcases their new early childhood resource booklet Energy Conservation and Renewable energy for children’s healthy futures and pdf copies will be available for participants. The aim is to promote awareness and action about energy conservation and renewable energy sources among educators, children and families.
