Tree Planting at Fossil Bluff with Wynyard Landcare

Join the legends from Wynyard Landcare improving the native habitat at Fossil Bluff, Wynyard. For the 3rd year in a row Parents for Climate are joining Wynyard Landcare for a great social day out in a beautiful location. Kids heaven with lots of adventurous paths and natural cubbies across the Bluff.

Bring some gloves and a spade or mallet if you have one or just bring yourself- we will have spares for everyone and snacks to share.

National Tree Day planting with Wynyard Landcare

For the third year in a row NW Tas. Parents for Climate are joining Wynyard Landcare to support their Fossil Bluff revegetation work.
Planting trees!

Bring some gloves and mabe some digging tools or a hammer if you have a spare one.
We'll have some snacks to share.

This event is held on Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Land and volunteers will be asked to sign on to the Parks volunteer register to ensure volunteers are insured.

Smart Energy Expo: SEE the Future

Come along to the Smart Energy Expo 2024, organised by Climate Action Burwood Canada Bay, in partnership with MLC School, Burwood Council, the Smart Energy Council and the Australian Electric Vehicles Association.

Held at MLC School in Burwood, the Smart Energy Expo will give you the chance to learn more about renewable energy, electric vehicles and electrification in general, and the role these play in reducing emissions and solving the problem of climate change.

You can talk to locals who have electrified their homes and vehicles and to representatives from Burwood and Canada Bay Councils on what they are doing to save energy use and cut emissions. Also listen to experts about the benefits of renewable energy and electric vehicles – benefits for the country and for your own home.

Parents for Climate meet and work on the lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging, and acknowledge the pivotal role that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Australian community.
